News from the Queen Bee

February 22, 2005 -- Hi my RED HATTER FRIENDS,

Sorry we were unable to have our tag and tea party in February. No one volunteered to have it and my house is torn apart right now with some painting and wallpapering and all that stuff.

BUT in April we have two outings on the same weekend. 23rd we will go for a quilting lesson for those who like crafts or if you have ever wondered what made a quilt so beautiful etc. at Quilting Essentials located on Main Street in Norwalk near the corner of Main Street and Wall Street, just down from the car dealership. Respond with your interested to Beth Ann Morgan @ 762-1797 or me at 762-0033.

.... we do have something for April, the 24th. Now you have to understand that this is a celebration for Red Hat Day, supposedly on April 25th, but that is a Monday and I guess it is the 6th year the Red Hat Society has been around. Many gals work and so This meeting will be on Sunday, April 24th.

ARE YOU ready to celebrate! Well, we have a plan. Several chapters of the Red Hat Society will be going to the Trumbull Mall, meeting at the Food Court in full regalia (Red Hats, Purple outfits, boas, red or purple purses and red or purple shoes, etc.) at 12:30. We will then have some lunch with Red Hats all over the Food Court. Following we will get in groups and walk around the mall laughing and having a really good time and meeting ladies from many different chapters. Bring your kazoos this could wind up be very musical.

SOOO let me know what you think of this plan, if you think it is too far or will cost too much or you want to go to another mall or you like the idea and want to participate or just what are your feelings.

What will we want to do in March. Shall we go fly kites in the March winds or will there still be lots of snow. Maybe we can do the antiqueing in Stamford as Ronnie has suggested. Ronnie what have you found out about that??

We have several new members: We welcome
Joan K. Hayenga from New Canaan
Tina Blount from New Canaan
Sandra Cullen from New Canaan
Kay Brooks from Westport
At our upcoming meetings, greet everyone as your best friend. They might be in the near future.

Please get back to me with your thoughts and we will plan from there.

It's great to be a Red Hatter!!!!
